Testing of Fiber Reinforced Polymers is very different from the metallurgical tests done on traditional ferrous reinforcing. Most materials labs are unfamilar with these polymer tests which also require specialized lab equipment. The FRP Institue can either perform independent testing or direct you to a laboratory that is well versed in performing industry consensus testing for:

• Characterization testing to help qualify suppliers
• Assist FRP bar producers who may not have the capabilities of performing some of the more onerous periodic characterization tests internally
• Perform quality assurance tests from coupon bars taken from projects.
